"Private Practice 101: Building Your Dream Practice"6 CE's

In this 6 hour class, we review the initial process for developing a business plan, and identifying factors that contribute to the overall success of your business.

We will also touch base on the following:

  • ALL the things you wish you would of learned in graduate school. More importantly, I want to share with you all of my failures and successes, allowing you to walk away with tools not paperwork, to build your dream practice.

  • Establishing your niche, (what makes you different than all the other counselors/therapists?)

  • Setting Fees (How do you explain your fees to clients, what are you really worth? Are you concerned your fees are too high, or not enough to pay for your office space?)

  • Marketing

  • Insurance Panels vs. Private Pay

  • Creating a CAQH Profile, etc.

  • Negotiating Rates of Reimbursement with Insurance Panels

"Trauma Heroes: Sexual Implications in Play", 5 CE's

In this workshop, attendees will learn strategies for addressing complex treatment needs of abused and traumatized children.

Lecture will provide a clinical overview of trauma, sexual trauma and its application of clinical interventions using play therapy and sand play. Attendees should be prepared to engage in practical application of sand play techniques during training; in addition to being provided with case examples for discussion.

"Implementing Creative Interventions in Play Therapy", 3 CE's

This workshop is designed for the participant interested in creative and innovative ways to connect to their clients. Have you ever had a difficult client that you felt disconnected from? Play Therapy has the capacity to allow members of the helping profession to connect to individuals when traditional talk therapy is not effective.

This training provides participants with a different lens and perspective when considering clients across the lifespan, and interested in adding additional therapeutic techniques to their tool set.

"Diagnosis and Treatment Planning in Play Therapy" 6 CE's

Participants will be able to:

1.Identify and list at least 2 reasons to utilize play therapy techniques during the assessment process.

2.Explore and identify at least 3 play therapy techniques during the assessment process.

3.Identify and practice at least 2 play therapy assessment techniques applicable with their current population serviced.

4.Participants will engage in completing a brief Play Therapy Assessment during the training in a small group activity; including identifying themes in play, areas of concern, etc.
